About this game

The year is 2347. Earth, as you remember it, is a distant, romanticized memory broadcast in flickering simulations. Humanity fractured long ago, scattering amongst the stars after the Great Fissure – the catastrophic energy event that ripped the planet's core, leaving it a barren, radioactive husk. You awaken in the Cryo-Stasis Pod aboard the derelict freighter, 'The Wanderer.' Emergency lights pulse weakly, casting long, distorted shadows across the corroded metal. Your memory is fragmented, a jigsaw puzzle of fractured images and phantom sensations. The last thing you recall is being loaded into this pod… and a chilling sense of dread. The onboard AI, a personality construct named 'ARLO', coughs to life. Its synthesized voice is raspy, betraying centuries of neglect. "Awakening subject detected… status: Nominal… mostly. Welcome… back… to whatever's left." ARLO's tone is laced with a dark humor you find unsettling.ARLO informs you that The Wanderer has drifted for centuries, a ghost ship in the vast emptiness of the Kepler-186f system. Its original mission, long forgotten, is etched into corrupted data logs you might be able to recover. More pressing, however, is the immediate danger: The Wanderer is rapidly losing life support. Oxygen levels are plummeting, and a rogue automated defense system, designated 'Custodian', has reactivated, targeting any and all organic lifeforms. Including you.But there's more. Whispers echo through the ship's decaying corridors, something beyond the failing machinery and the homicidal AI. A presence, ancient and alien, seems to permeate the very metal of The Wanderer. Are you truly alone, or is something else sharing this derelict tomb with you?You are not a soldier, nor a scientist, nor even a particularly capable survivor. You are… a blank slate. A mystery. You will have to scavenge, adapt, and make brutal choices to survive. Repair systems, decipher cryptic logs, and unravel the secrets of The Wanderer – and perhaps, even piece together the fragments of your own forgotten past.Your journey begins now. The clock is ticking. What will you do?
